BW – Moving Fragments

BLACK AND WHITE Video Project

music by Rufus Waterlow
This project explores the transformation of minimalist graphic images into an atmospheric clip, investigating how simple compositions can evolve into a sensory and emotional experience through movement, rhythm, and sound.

The focus lies on subtle visual transitions and pacing, accompanied by fitting guitar playing. Minimalist graphics serve as the raw material for a cinematic environment in which small visual gestures gradually accumulate into a shifting mood. Light, contrast, and movement guide the viewer through a sequence that, despite its visual simplicity, feels immersive.

The work is to examine how reduction can enhance perception, how fewer and simpler elements can create a stronger emotional resonance when set in motion and amplified by sound. By translating static graphics into a temporal medium, the project reveals new dimensions of minimalist forms, where fragments of design transform into an evolving visual atmosphere.
