Grid Series

The Grid Series considers the grid as both a method of organization and a structure that can be disrupted. Repeated diamond forms, intersecting lines, and translucent layers establish a framework in which order is continuously tested by variation, movement, and light. Rather than functioning as a fixed system, the grid shifts between rigidity and openness, precision and irregularity.

Color plays an active role within this structure. Yellow, red, and blue introduce distinct degrees of intensity and depth, altering the spatial character of each composition. The use of translucent layers further complicates the relationship between foreground and background, allowing forms to appear, recede, and overlap as light passes through the work.Changes in line quality introduce another level of tension, ranging from controlled and measured marks to more spontaneous gestures. These contrasts prevent the geometric structure from becoming static, creating a sense of movement within an otherwise ordered field.

The series approaches the grid not simply as a geometric device, but as a flexible system through which order, disruption, transparency, and color can coexist. Its repeated structures provide continuity, while subtle shifts within each composition allow for differences in rhythm, depth, and spatial perception.
