BW – Moving Fragments

BLACK AND WHITE Video Project

music by Rufus Waterlow
This project explores how minimal visual elements can evoke an emotional experience. By combining simple graphic forms with movement, rhythm, and guitar music, it investigates how subtle changes in image and sound can influence the viewer’s perception and emotional response.

The clip evolves from a minimalist visual language in which light, contrast, timing, and movement shape the atmosphere. Small visual gestures, gradual transitions, and rhythmic shifts come together to form an audiovisual composition that slowly unfolds. The interplay between image and sound creates space for tension, stillness, and transformation, without imposing a singular meaning on the experience.

At its core, the project explores the power of reduction: how a limited number of simple elements, carefully arranged in time and enhanced by sound, can develop a layered emotional resonance. In doing so, the project investigates not only what we see, but also how we look, what we feel, and how minimal visual and auditory stimuli can evolve into a personal, sensory experience.
